2. Cash-only, no invoice
A real business gives you a GST invoice. Cash-only is a fraud signal.
3. Vague or missing LR/consignment note
Never let your goods leave without a signed LR listing every carton.
4. Unbranded trucks and workers
Professional movers arrive in company-branded vehicles with uniformed staff.
5. Advance payment above 20%
10-20% booking is normal. Anyone asking for 100% upfront is a red flag.
6. No physical office
Visit or video-call their office. A PO Box + WhatsApp number isn't enough.
7. Zero online footprint
Look for a website, Google Business profile, and 25+ genuine reviews.
